An immersive yoga workshop designed to guide you deeper into the art of backbending, with a focus on safely progressing toward the majestic King Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana). This workshop is ideal for intermediate to advanced yogis looking to improve their backbend technique, strengthen core muscles, and increase flexibility in the spine, shoulders, and hips.

Followed by brunch at The Lakeside Shack, which includes tea/coffee and sourdough with smashed avocado, poached egg and either feta or chorizo. Hopefully the sun will be shining 🤞 but if not then the session will still take place under a marquee.

As hikers conquer these peaks, they test their physical endurance and immerse themselves in the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Surrey Hills.

Itinerary: 

7:00 We will start the day with a Yoga warm-up, Loni will guide you through a gentle breathing & stretch session at The Barn.

7.45 Complimentary herbal teas and fruit bowls are available.

8:00 We will set off on the hike with a qualified and experienced Walking Leader who has taken many groups over the Hills for over 10 years.

12:30 Please bring your own lunch. We will stop off at Heartworks Cafe and the Cafe at Leith Hill for snacks.

17:15 Return to the Barn to stretch it out with a restorative grounding exercise.

This year we (National Trust) are collaborating with Park Yoga to bring you free weekly yoga sessions at Box Hill.

Sessions run for 21 weeks from the 5 May to 22 September.

All sessions are held on a Sunday morning 9:30 - 10:30 and are for people of all ages and abilities.

The aim of these sessions is to encourage people to take part in activities outdoors which are good for their health and wellbeing.

Everyone is welcome, no registration required, accompanied children welcome.
